The present Small World Products started some 30 years ago as "Wood 'n' Wool Miniatures", making miniature bedding and beds for doll’s house collectors.  Very quickly the product range expanded to specialise in craft-made lights for doll’s houses.  This well-regarded range of top quality lights steadily grew to be one of the most sought-after in the world.  "Wood 'n' Wool lighting" was then acquired by the Butler family in 1999, following which, vigorous development of the range continues to this day. 

In 2001, "Wood 'n' Wool" lighting acquired SWP, a renowned designer and supplier of miniature lighting controls. The enlarged company now trades as Small World Products, and offers electronic light flicker units and switching systems for doll’s house lighting, as well as an exceptional range of wiring components and accessories, as well as the stunning original "Wood 'n' Wool" lights. 
 

Under the banner of Small World Products, we have continued to innovate, to grow and to design, ranges of new products such as our widely acclaimed "Easy-wire" wiring system, which is now firmly established as the leading UK doll’s house wiring system, through its simplicity in design, installation, and reliability in use.
